It was an emotional and unforgettable moment for Jamie Foxx as he walked his eldest daughter, Corinne Foxx, down the aisle during her wedding to Joe Hooten.
The joyous occasion took place on Saturday, September 21, as the milestone comes after the actor suffered a mysterious health scare last year that left fans worried and Jamie hospitalized for weeks.
Foxx – best known for his roles in hit movies such as Django Unchained, Miami Vice, and Spider-Man – revealed that he was placed under medical care for 20 days.
But what a difference a year makes, as Foxx looked every bit the emotional father as he walked his daughter down the aisle.
In what can only be described as a picture-perfect moment, The Jamie Foxx Show star and proud dad looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo as he escorted Corinne to meet her groom.

Garcelle Beauvais – Foxx’s longtime friend and co-star – shared a series of intimate photos from the event on Instagram — though they were later deleted. The snapshots captured the walk down the aisle and their daddy-daughter dance at the reception, as he was visibly cherishing the moment.
“Last night we got to witness & celebrate the love of @corinnefoxx and @joe.hooten,” Garcelle wrote alongside the images. “Your love & respect for each other is palpable. Corinne you looked stunning.”
The photos showed Corinne in a breathtaking off-the-shoulder wedding gown with a delicate floral print and a simple tulle veil. The bride looked radiant as she held hands with Hooten during the ceremony.
Jamie, of course, was every bit the doting dad, despite his daughter’s previous concerns. Before the wedding, Corinne admitted that she was “a little worried” about her father walking her down the aisle, especially after his health scare, PEOPLE reports. However, she added that she knew it would be “beautiful” and predicted: “He’s for sure going to cry.”
Corinne, who met her husband Joe in 2018, had her own big moment last year when she announced their engagement in December. Taking to Instagram, she posted a series of black-and-white photos capturing the moment Joe popped the question. “From the first time I saw you, I knew you were my forever,” she wrote, showing off her stunning solitaire emerald-cut diamond ring.
