Why Diddy is reportedly refusing to eat any food served to him in jail

While he remains in jail on multiple charges, Diddy reportedly refuses to eat any of the food provided for him.

It was reported last week that the 54-year-old hip-hop mogul will stay behind bars until his trial for sex trafficking charges begins.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who pleaded not guilty, was denied bail after offering a bond worth $50 million on Tuesday (September 17), as reported by Sky News.

The ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ rapper was arrested on Monday in Manhattan, New York, about half a year after federal authorities carrying out a sex trafficking investigation raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami.

Combs has been sued by a number of people who say he physically or sexually abused them.

His former girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura, is one of the women who have made claims against him.

Combs is said to be struggling with extreme paranoia during his time in custody.

Larry Levine, a former inmate who served time at the same facility, shared information from his “source” within the detention center in an interview with Ashleigh Banfield on NewsNation.

Levine suggested that Combs fears he could be targeted while in jail.

“Imagine if someone paid someone off on the inside to poison his food, give him a heart attack, and he dies,” Levine told Banfield.

He added that Combs’ paranoia stems from concerns that he may now be a target due to his high-profile status.

“If somebody got to one of the correctional officers, and this could happen. They don’t make a lot of money, and there’s people out there that he’s got stuff on that do have a lot of money,” Levine explained.

Combs is facing serious charges, including years of alleged coercion, abuse, and blackmail.

He has also been accused of orchestrating drug-fueled sexual encounters, known as “Freak Offs,” involving both female victims and male sex workers, per FOX News.

According to Levine, the music mogul’s paranoia has escalated since his arrest.

“He’s really, really paranoid. He’s really, really scared. Doesn’t know what to think, he doesn’t know who to trust or what to believe,” Levine said.

Since entering custody, Combs has received visits from a religious advisor and a dietician, as well as frequent check-ins from mental health professionals.

Levine revealed that the rapper remains on suicide watch, with a psychiatrist visiting him multiple times a day.

“He’s still on suicide watch. A shrink is coming to see him several times a day,” Levine said.

Refusing to eat jail food is not uncommon for new inmates, according to Levine.

He explained that food served in isolation, where Combs is currently held, is often cold and unappetizing.

“They feed the people in the shoe last,” Levine said, referring to the special housing unit.

“The food is bland, it’s a lot of carbohydrates. It fills you up but you get sick eating it. There’s mold in a lot of that food. Maybe he got sick from the food, that’s another possibility.”
