The 25-year-old defeated Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori 5-0, securing her place in the semi-finals of the women’s 66kg category and guaranteeing herself a medal. 🥉
Imane Khelif is through to the women’s 66kg semi-finals at the Olympics following victory over Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori. The veteran amateur is now guaranteed the seventh Olympic boxing medal in Algeria’s history, its first since 2000 and the nation’s first ever in women’s boxing following her unanimous decision win in Saturday’s quarter-final. She now faces Thailand’s Janjaem Suwannapheng in the semi-finals on August 6.
