Dana White says Francis Ngannou would've made more money fighting Jon Jones in UFC than in boxing: "I know the real numbers"

Dana White has once again reignited his feud with former heavyweight
champion Francis Ngannou. White claimed that the Cameroonian
fighter would have earned more money fighting Jon Jones in the UFC
than he did in his recent boxing matches.
In 2023, Ngannou departed from the UFC following an extended
contractual dispute and subsequently joined the PFL. Although he has
yet to make his debut in the promotion, he has engaged in the sweet
science, facing off against prominent boxers such as Tyson Fury_ and
Anthony Joshua.
However, White maintains that Ngannou could have secured a better
contract by remaining in the UFC and competing against Jones.
Speaking at a ‘Dana Whiteis Contender Series’ post-fight press
conference, the UFC CEO said:

“Coz why? I don’t give a s**t. What’s the difference? Because I know all the s**t you people don’t know. And I don’t care what everybody says, doesn’t matter to me. But that’s a fact. He was offered more money. Because I know, I know the real numbers. I know the real numbers.”

Dana White weighs in on Alex Pereira’s potential transition to boxing

Alex Pereira recently expressed his interest in transitioning to boxing and suggested that he could potentially collaborate with UFC President Dana White on a new boxing promotion. In response to Pereira’s comments, White expressed his reluctance to support such a venture.

During an interview with Kevin Iole, White was asked about Pereira’s potential move to boxing. While he acknowledged Pereira’s expressed respect for his desire to explore other opportunities, White made it clear that he is not interested in promoting crossover fights. He said:

”I don’t know, I mean, when you look at where he is right now in his career, he’s at the top of the game, he’s about to break this record…I don’t know. I’m not even thinking about that kind of stuff. I’m not thinking about crossover fight. I hate crossover fights…I respect the fact that he wants to do it…but I want everybody to stay in their own lane.”
